About the Artist

Melissa
Dayton

Artist · Designer · Curator of Coastal Stories

Melissa Dayton is a painter and designer rooted in the quiet beauty of coastal life. Raised in Connecticut and now living by the ocean in New Jersey, she draws on memory, heritage, and home in her work.

From hand-painted wallpaper to original textiles, each collection is created to bring rhythm, warmth, and intention to the spaces where family stories unfold.

Melissa's background in fine art and design spans decades — beginning with commissioned portraits, murals, and book covers, and now evolving into a private-label home line focused on craftsmanship and soul.

With a degree in Art and Design and a lifelong love of interiors, she brings a thoughtful eye to every pattern she creates. Each piece is painted by hand, developed in coastal light, and designed to pair effortlessly with layered interiors, antique finds, and homes that feel collected over time.

Her collections reflect the colors, textures, and traditions of the places that shaped her — from Sprite Island and 18th-century farmhouses to sycamore-lined streets and shingle-style cottages near the sea.

"If you believe in creating a home where beauty holds memory, and design carries meaning — welcome. You're right where you belong."
