Guidance for missing packages, peel-and-stick troubleshooting, and everything in between.

Lost or Missing Package

Once an order leaves our production facility, delivery is managed by the shipping carrier. If your tracking shows "Delivered" but the package has not arrived, please work through the steps below before filing a carrier claim.

  • 01

    Wait 2–3 business days

Some carriers mark packages as delivered before they physically arrive. Give it a short window before assuming the package is lost.

  • 02

    Check all delivery locations

Look around all doors, porches, and garages. Check mailboxes, parcel lockers, and any covered areas near your entrance.

  • 03

    Ask neighbors and household members

A neighbor may have accepted the package on your behalf, or another household member may have brought it inside without mentioning it.

  • 04

    Review your tracking details

Check the carrier's tracking page for any delivery notes, updated scans, or instructions about where the package was left.

  • 05

File a claim with the carrier

If the package still cannot be located after completing the steps above, file a claim directly with USPS or FedEx using your tracking number. See the section below for direct links and guidance.

ℹ

Troubleshooting Guide

If your peel-and-stick wallpaper is not adhering properly, the issue is almost always related to wall preparation, installation technique, or environmental conditions — and in most cases it can be resolved.

01 Wall Preparation

Peel-and-stick wallpaper performs best on clean, smooth, and properly prepared surfaces. Most adhesion failures trace back to wall prep.

Clean the wall surface

Dust, grease, or residue will prevent the adhesive from bonding properly.

Solution

Wipe the wall with a damp cloth and mild cleaner. Allow to dry completely and wait at least 24 hours before installing wallpaper.

Ensure the wall is smooth

Texture, bumps, or surface imperfections prevent full adhesive contact.

Solution

Fill holes, sand raised areas, and repair cracks before installation. In some cases a skim coat may be needed to create a truly smooth surface.

Prime if necessary

Washable, stain-resistant, or matte paint finishes can interfere with adhesion.

Solution

Apply a high-quality wallpaper primer and allow it to fully cure before installation.

02 Environmental Conditions

Room temperature and humidity have a direct effect on how adhesive wallpaper performs during and after installation.

Temperature

Install and maintain 65–80°F during installation and for 48 hours afterward.

Humidity

Moderate levels are best. Avoid installing in extremely humid or damp conditions.

03 Installation Technique

Even on a perfectly prepared wall, installation technique matters. A few small adjustments make a significant difference.

Peel gradually

Remove only a few inches of backing at a time while carefully aligning the top of the panel. Peeling too much at once leads to misalignment and stress on the adhesive.

Use a smoothing tool

Work from the center of the panel outward to remove air bubbles and ensure full, even wall contact.

Apply firm, even pressure

Consistent pressure across the entire panel activates the adhesive and prevents lifting at the edges.

04 Wall Surface Compatibility

Not all surfaces are equal. Understanding your wall type before you begin saves significant frustration.

Works well

  • Smooth painted drywall
  • Properly primed surfaces
  • Eggshell or satin paint finish

More difficult

  • Textured walls
  • Brick or concrete
  • Unpainted drywall
  • Highly washable or stain-resistant paint
  • Flat or matte paint finishes
For textured walls or difficult surfaces, LUXE Traditional wallpaper is often the better choice — it is more forgiving and delivers a more seamless result. Compare materials →
If an edge is lifting after installation: Press the area firmly using a smoothing tool. For small sections, a hairdryer on low heat can gently warm the adhesive and help it rebond. Use caution — do not overheat the material.
